For Those People Who Love Us at Our Worst, Thanks!
Now a couple of days before the end of 2018, it’s time to reflect on the good things in life, on the good people in our life. We should take our time to thank all those people who helped us to stand when our knees gave up, and we ended on the ground.
Thank them for being an additional pair of legs when yours simply refuse to work. Thank those people for letting you lean on their strength in times when you were convinced that the rest of the world wants you down.
Take a moment and thank them for stabilizing you and for giving you the foundation to stand up again. Whenever you are clumsy, they are the ones who help you out.
Be grateful for those people who tell you it is completely fine to feel too much, those who understand your sensitive nature. They let you love openly and loudly, and they are the ones who remind you that not everything should fit in a box.
Thank those people who even on your messiest days care for you. Be grateful for those people who encourage your voice even in times when it breaks. Thank them for reminding you that your opinion matters as well.
Be grateful for those people who respect you on days when you choose to be silent, and who respect you on days when you choose to speak up. They respect you both ways, and that is amazing.
Thank those people who know who you are and love just the way you are, they know you, and they choose to stay. Thank those people who know all your flaws and still choose to stick around.
Thank them for loving your roots. They see you at your darkest times and still act as nothing changed. Be grateful for those people who love you in those times when you are most unlovable.
Thank them and be grateful for them. They are rare nowadays. It’s not something you can find just around the corner.
Thank all the people in your life, regardless it is close family or friends, for showing you the meaning of affection, guidance, love, and friendship.
Tell them how much their love and support means to you, and that you hope that they will stick to you in 2019 and many years later. Remember this; a grateful heart is a magnet when it comes to miracles.
Understand that happiness is not about getting everything you want all the time. Happiness is loving what you have and being grateful for that.
