We Should Say “Thank You, God” More Often
There are numerous of religions throughout the world. We all have our God in whom we believe. From time to time, we are all praying when we want something. Usually, we pray when we need something or when we are in some difficult situation.
There are times when we are saying that God is not listening to us, he is not there for us. Even though we are not recognizing God, he is always there for us. And, we should be thankful for everything he has done for us.
So, I would like to express my gratitude to God. Saying “thank you” is not a word that God hears a lot when we are praying every Sunday, and we should say it more often. But, I am thankful to our God for everything in my life.
There are things in my life that I have now, but I have prayed for them in the past. It is a good moment to thank God for those people who are by my side, or my work and what I have achieved until now.
At this moment I want to be aware of my blessings. Also, I know that perfection is not going to last a lifetime. There are going to be times when I am going to deal with difficulties, and when everything goes wrong, I may forget to thank God.
In life, there are going to be moments when I will be praying and wonder why God is not listening to me. Anyway, I am aware that God never forgets about us. Now, I want to express my gratitude to God.
I am thankful for the patience God gave me when I needed it the most.
I am appreciative of the strength in the moments when I felt weak.
There were times when he gave me what I needed instead of what I wanted, I am grateful for that.
I am appreciative of protection in moments of danger.
I am thankful for all the light God gave me in my darkest moments.
Whenever I wanted to be alone, God was my company, and I am thankful for that.
I am thankful helping me heal when I was hurt.
There were moments when I committed sins, so I am thankful for that.
I am appreciative of his guide, and for having someone to believe in.
Even when I did not know how to love myself, God loved me, and I am thankful.
I am appreciative of all I have and for everything else in my life.
Although I do not talk about faith often, it has a big importance in my life. When people ask me if I am a religious person, I just nod and avoid talking about it. I do not tell people that each Sunday I am in mass and that I know each word by heart.
I do not tell anyone that I keep the bible next to my bed. And, now, I am thankful for everything in my life, and I need to say “Thank you, God.”
